Jay Leno is the consummate car collector concerned not only about authenticity, but also performance.
His Duesenberg cars, like many early vehicles originally used asbestos products to insulate hot engine components from migrating to unwanted areas. Asbestos today is no longer used due to the potential health hazards it poses, let alone it not being as efficient heat barrier as EHP insulation products.
